In the fall of 2013, seventeen hostels in the city of Zagreb have decided to establish an association that will bring their cooperation closer together. To make that cooperation more efficient they have founded the "Associaton of hostels in the city of Zagreb". Hostel Shappy was proudly a part of that whole process and a lot of effort was made by our team for all this to become possible. We also want to proudly announce that the president of the association that has been chosen for the mandate of four years, is one of our own, Niko Skrivaneli. As the ones who elected him point out,he was the best choice because of his great experience in the field as well as his great communication skills and exceptional teamwork abilities. This was a very proud moment for us, as we continue to build our excellency each day.

In June of 2013 we have decided it is finally time to reveal a new addition to our hostel that we have been working on for quite some time. We added 8 new deluxe rooms decorated in a very modern fashion and intended for guests that wish to experience hotel quality for less money. When upgrading our hostel with this new deluxe rooms, our wish was to take care of our guests and provide them with comfort and privacy. Even though these rooms were created to complement any taste, they are ideal for business people, young couples and families with children. We are cannot wait for you to try them out. :)

We are very happy to announce that in Februray of 2013,we have officially become a part of "Balkan Best Hostels" organization. BBH (or "Balkans Best Hostels") is an organization of regional hostels formed together with the idea to promote tourism in the Balkan region. Formed in 2008, its goal is to promote good, quality hostels in this region and to promote the region among itself. An amazing thing about this organization is a possibility to, on a local scale, get your recommendations on your accommodation in the best possible hostels. Hostel Shappy proudly takes part in this and expands its horizons to be better interconnected with our lovely neighbors.
